The Wedding Party

Bridesmaids

Jessica Gruber

Jessica is my cousin! I’ve known her since I was born lol. We do have about a 5 year age gap, and while that might not be much now that we’re older, it was definitely very apparent when we were younger. I remember thinking I always wanted to hangout with my cool older cousin Jessie and how I was so lucky to have her as family. Jessica is someone you do not want to mess with. She has no problem telling you how it is or speaking her mind and I’ve always respected her for that seeing as I avoid conflict like the plague lol. For as long as I can remember I’ve always looked up to her and admired how strong she is. She always has my back and that still hasn’t changed. I am honored to have her stand beside me as my Matron of Honor for my wedding day.

Taylor Anderson

My friendship with Taylor started back in 2015 where we both attended Dixie State University to play softball and were roommates in our apartment. Fun fact – we actually weren’t that fond of each other when we first met lol. I thought she was pretty intimidating to be honest. A few weeks went by though and we started getting to know each other more, talking for hours on end, late night runs to Maverick for milk and donuts, and being SUPER silly! Most of the time we spent together we were laughing because Taylor is probably one if not the funniest person I know! We quickly became inseparable and I’m so grateful for our friendship! She and her husband Brock just moved to South Carolina with their two beautiful twin girls – Brooklyn & Kenna. She is an incredible human and I’m so lucky to have her standing with me on my special day.

Nicole March

Nicole is my Sister in Law! Her and my brother Niko tied the knot back in November 2023 and now I have a sister. The first time I met Nicole was at my uncle’s house for some kind of family function back in 2019. She was meeting basically our whole family that day and I could tell she was a little nervous (so valid though, our family is cray cray lol). But she ended up sticking around so I knew she must really love my brother! Our own friendship blossomed as we began hanging out more, whether it was going to karaoke nights at the Kopa Room, or having Disney dates with the fam. She is strong willed, determined, and I know she has my back in life. I’m so excited to have her standing with me.

Kerry Mills

Our friendship started off like a slow burn. My brother Anthony introduced us to Kerry back in 2020. Kerry was more reserved and quiet. This all changed as Andrew and I started hanging out with Anthony and Kerry more often having dinner and games nights on a fairly regular basis (adult schedules are hard to accommodate lol). The last few years we’ve also been avid escape room goer’s! We’ve escaped every room we’ve done and it is such a fun way to bond. Kerry is also a fantastic mother to her and Anthony’s daughter and my beautiful niece Summer! Kerry is always kind, so funny, and overall the kind of friend everyone should have! I’m so glad she has been a part of my life these last few years and I’m happy to have her standing up with me on such a special day.

Groomsmen

Travis Young

Travis is technically my boss but we are much more than that. Kingslayer Games has transformed from an MTG (Magic the Gathering) hole to a three location business and that has been an awesome journey to be a part of. Some weeks are harder than others but at the end of the day we are two sports guys doing our best to turn the game store world upside down with our work ethic and kindness. Unfortunately our favorite team is the Anaheim Ducks, and we have endured some painful years of terrible hockey. Travis is a great friend and role model and I hope to be as good of a father as he is someday.

Tripp Kenmuir

Tripp Kenmuir

Tripp is my oldest friend. We met while learning to play Ice Hockey at Westminster Ice rink when I was four and he was five years old. Throughout both of our youth hockey careers we played together on the same team almost every other year. Many weekends as we grew up were spent shooting pucks outside, playing knee/mini hockey, and Tripp schooling me in the latest NHL video game. Looking back I was very lucky to have a great friend like Tripp growing up and whenever we hang out it feels like we pick up right where we left off regardless of how long it has been.

Niko March

Niko March

I met Madi’s brother Niko at a family party at their uncle’s house. We are fellow nerds and both enjoy our fair share of trading card games, maybe someday we will see who is the master haha. From singing Nickelback Karaoke at Lynbrook or talking about favorite book series’s Niko has always made an effort to make me feel welcome and part of the family.

Anthony Freasier

Anthony is Madi’s brother and we met at her Uncle’s house at the first of many family gatherings I have attended there. Our sense of humor is very similar and we both enjoy playing board games. We also enjoy Escape Rooms, and there has been no room we have not escaped from yet regardless of how many hints we need along the way haha.

Officiant

Alyssa De La Cruz

Alyssa De La Cruz

I always knew I wanted someone special to us to officiate our wedding. Alyssa is that person. She is my cousin and we also have an age gap of about 7 years. I owe her my love for softball. I remember only playing because she was playing and little did I know I would end up playing the majority of my life and into college. After college, Alyssa basically helped get me my first job as an activities assistant at her work place Rowntree Gardens. We got to work together for about 2 ½ years and throughout that time we became so much closer. Alyssa is someone I know I can go to for anything and she’ll be down no matter what it is. She’s done two surrogacies and changed the lives of two families. She inspires me to say the least! Alyssa is the first person I brought Andrew to meet out of anyone in my family and I’m honored she’ll be the one officiating our marriage!
